Welsh Phoenix may only be two months old as a team, but we've already achieved much and had many changes here. The team has moved up to division 6, largely due to the work of the recently departed Darius Yvard.
Yvard was a very talented, and still is, sprinter with tremedous flat road ability, but since we've reached division 6 results have been hard to come by due to the increased competition.
Thus the decision has been made to change focus, and instead move to an area which manager Dave Washington has no experience of Time Trialing. Yvard has left the team and in his place has stepped 29 year old Italian Gian Calliani, a terrific TTer who we hope can achieve great success for the team.
The team is a long way from the dizzy heights of Team Washo, but hopefully one day we'll get there and even surpass that mark, the question is when will that be???
